Peesterleeties Puppet Show

Valerie Watt is a secondary teacher who lives in Lerwick. Whilst she was playing the fiddle one morning, her son spotted Tivla and Fivla Peesterleetie peeping out of a cupboard. A friendship grew between the two families from which Valerie's first book emerged.

Since the publication of her first book Valerie has enjoyed touring Shetland Primary schools introducing pupils to her family of trows. Valerie is working on a sequel to her first book and other writing for children.

In a puppet show for all the family, Valerie Watt reads from her popular children's book Da Peesterleeties an da Curse o da Njuggle. Come along for an insight in to the secret world of trows, learn one of their favourite dances and maybe you'll even be lucky enough to spot a trow or two...!
