Well-known Scottish writer and poet Ron Butlin will entertain the audience with a selection of prose and poetry from his published works. Three members of Aberdeen Writers' Circle will give short selected readings from the book, which will be on sale during the meeting.

Reflections

Ron Butlin

Acclaimed writer Ron Butlin, winner of three previous Scottish Arts Council Book Awards, lives in Edinburgh. His writings include poetry, short stories, novels, libretti, plays and journalism. He has published eleven books — novels, poetry and short stories — and has been described by Ian Rankin as "a vigorous, challenging talent".

The Scottish Daily Record said of No More Angels (2007), his latest book of short stories, "...tragic, funny, moving, desperate, joyous... his talent soars on every page". This is Ron's first visit to the wordfringe festival. We hope it will mark the first of many more.
